About the Cirque de la Symphonie

The Cirque de la Symphonie is an acrobatic show wherein all of the spectacular elements of the cirque are performed to live symphony music. This is to say that, within the walls of the Davies Symphony Hall, contortionists, aerial flyers, jugglers, balancers, and strongmen will execute insane stunts to the harmony of instrumental music. The Cirque de la Symphonie is a world-famous performance which features many renowned performers. For example, Christine Van Loo is a seven-time national champion in gymnastics. Not only has this woman performed in the 2002 Winter Olympics, but she is also known as a trainer and choreographer for NBC’s Celebrity Circus, and even the Britney Spears World Tour. Several other renowned individuals contributing to this event include Vitalii Buza, Alexandra Piveral, Vladimir Tsarkov Jr., Vitality Prikhodko, and Pavel Korsh. This fantastic event has featured more than a hundred orchestras in the past, and this wonderful act of incorporating music and acrobatics in this show has been present for almost twenty years. The Cirque de la Symphonie was founded in 1998 by Alexander Streltsov.
